Essential functions and responsibilities
- Operate Delta press while using touch screen functions
- Read, analyze and interpret customers’ drawings, measurements and tolerances including blueprints and job tickets
- Produce dimensionally accurate medical or non-medical products
- Maintain clean and organized press area at all times
- Set-up and insert rotary dies
- Splice roll material together
- Adjust speed, tension, and alignment as necessary to ensure quality product
- Perform inspection to ensure product meets stringent quality standards and customer specifications
- Attach, operate, and detach finishing equipment used on press
- Remove waste rolls and finished rolls from press
- Complete job related documentation
- Track time and materials used at press by entering data in job costing module. (LabelTraxx)
- Laminate multiple materials and adhesives
- Adjust gear ratios and re-registration within the press
- Maintain production efficiency while producing high-quality products
- Perform daily preventative maintenance. Fills out request forms when additional maintenance is required. Submits these forms to the production lead
- Abide by all safety rules and procedures
Qualifications Required
ATL operates in a FDA regulated environment where perfection is expected.
*High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years’ of Delta press experience or similar servo driven press equipment
- Ability to multi-task with strong problem-solving skills
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy with high level of quality consciousness
- General knowledge of rotary die cutting
- Mathematical, calculator and ruler competent. Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The employee must be able to read a ruler and convert measurements from fractions to decimal equivalents and vice versa quickly and accurately
- Ability to collaborate with coworkers and customers during team problem-solving practices
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work in an individual and team environment
- Basic computer knowledge
